Check an AI answer against your source
A polished answer can still change a fact. Review the link between each claim and the material you supplied.
Trace the important claims
Underline every date, number, named person, commitment, and factual claim in the answer. Find its source. If you cannot locate one, remove it or ask for it to be labelled as an assumption. A suggested deadline is not the same thing as a deadline agreed in a meeting.
Preserve the qualifications
Check whether “may” became “will”, a small pilot became an industry finding, or a conditional approval became an unconditional one. These changes often matter more than wording or tone.
Check omissions and contradictions
Look for source details that complicate the main story: a dissenting comment, an unresolved owner, a missing security requirement. An answer should surface material unknowns, not quietly choose a convenient interpretation.
Make the next action usable
A useful action item has a clear task and an owner when the source names one. A comparison explains what the evidence supports and which missing fact could change the decision. Ask for a narrower correction instead of requesting a complete rewrite every time.
Keep a reviewed example
If a template repeatedly helps your work, save its ID in this library and keep an approved output in your own workspace. Avoid treating a single successful run as proof that a model will always behave the same way.
